As a teacher at heart, I felt like something was missing after launching my first two pre-recorded courses. That something was real life human interaction!

Thus, the idea for live classes was born.

I'm Emily.
I used to be a high school physics teacher with a cookie side hustle, but I left my teaching career to pursue my cookie business full time. I have transformed my cookie hobby into a designer cookie brand and now work with top event planners, photographers, and businesses in the Philadelphia area.
It’s so easy to feel lost in the cookie world and like you have to compete for customers. It is my goal to help you refine your skills so that you are able to stand out and can discover a decorating style that is uniquely you that can't be found anywhere else.

WATERCOLOR BASICS
A strong foundation in painting is the key to success for more advanced techniques like florals.
In this class we will cover:

Paintbrush 101-learn about different paintbrush shapes and sizes and what techniques they are best used for

Everclear vs Water - should you use vodka or water to paint with? The answer can be both. Learn when & how to use both

Icing Disintegration Prevention - find out what you can do to prevent your base flood from breaking down when painting

Painting techniques - blending colors & simple techniques that can add a ton of personality to you sets!
PAINTING FLORALS
Painting Florals rather than piping them CAN actually be a huge time saver. They look elegant and turn your cookies into artwork, but can also save you time decorating (if done correctly).
This class will cover:

Painting small florals & greenery -perfect for mini cookies or floral plaque cookies

Painting Large florals - statement florals that bring the wow factor to a cookie set

Practical florals - learn to paint beautiful florals quickly so that you can maximize your time

Floral designs - how to layout your florals to create a beautiful floral design that doesn't look messy.
LIGHT & SHADOW
If you're ready to be able to say yes to pet portraits, paint those character cookies, or use watercolor to add depth to any shape, this is your class. Learn to flood a whole set white and bring it to life with watercolor.

So, what makes these classes special?
Cookie classes are great, but do you ever sign up, take the class, but then are left feeling like what you learned is kind of a one time thing? You know what I mean? You learn some super cool techniques, but they’re not actually super practical…they either take way too long or just won’t really fit with the majority of sets you do? Classes like that are super fun, but they don’t always help you truly refine your craft.
This live classes are designed specifically to teach you the fundamentals that you will be able to use in every aspect of your cookie decorating. They will help you take your skills to the next level in every aspect of your cookie decorating!

WHAT IF I CAN'T ATTEND THE LIVE ZOOM?
No problem! All classes will be recorded and emailed out to everyone who signed up!
DO I NEED TO PREPARE ANYTHING FOR CLASS?
You can if you want! Your workbook will have a full list of brushes you can purchase and cookies you can prep for class so that you can paint along with me. If you don't have time, just come, listen, watch and learn! Plus you'll be plenty busy filling out your workbook as we go!
ARE THE CLASSES A PACKAGE DEAL?
Nope! You can purchase a seat for each class separately!
WHY IS THERE A LIMITED NUMBER OF SEATS?
Each class will be limited to 60 seats because I want to make sure that the group is small enough that I can answer questions and get
to know you!
CAN I PURCHASE THE RECORDINGS BY THEMSELVES?
The recordings will not be for sale. In order to have access to the recordings, you must have a ticket to the class.
WILL YOU RUN THESES CLASSES AGAIN?
If there is enough interest, I will do them again. For now that is TBD.
